Mariana Lorenzi Azevedo

Graduated in Social Communication at FAAP (São Paulo) and with a Masters in Arts Politics at NYU (New York), Mariana works as a curator, editor and cultural manager. She worked for 4 years in the reactivation of Casa do Povo as a cultural center, there she was responsible for the coordination and co-management of the space, as well as for developing its cultural programming.

While living in New York, Mariana has intern in the curatorial department of MoMA and the New Museum. She has engaged in curatorial projects with SP-Arte, Oficina Cultural Oswald de Andrade, .Aurora and Independent Curators International. She was the co-editor of Jornal Nossa Voz and has edited several other publications launched by Casa do Povo. Mariana often collaborates with texts for artists and institutions.

In 2016 she received the Critical Collaboration Fellowship from NYU’s Art & Public Policy department.
